Who we are

A two-chair shop in Espoo, not a hair factory

Blanelo started in 2013 with one chair and a borrowed mirror. We now run four chairs on Karakaari, and we still keep the same rule from day one: no client leaves with a cut we would not wear ourselves. There is coffee on the counter, real conversation, and no upselling of products nobody asked about.

Booking takes under a minute, and if you turn up without one we will tell you straight how long the wait is instead of leaving you standing around. That honesty is the reason most of our clients have been coming back for years.

  • Walk-ins welcome six days a week
  • Card and mobile payments, no cash-only surprises
  • Free advice on products, sold only if you actually need them

Services

Two things we do every single day

The menu is short on purpose. We would rather be genuinely good at two services than average at ten, so everything you see here is work we have repeated thousands of times.

Signature Men's Haircut

A full consultation, a wash, then clipper and scissor work shaped to your head rather than a trend photo. We finish the neckline with a razor and send you out with a quick styling rundown.

How a visit works

From the door to the mirror in five steps

Book or just show up

Online booking takes a minute and holds your slot. If you walk in, we give you a real waiting time, not a vague "soon".

Two minutes of questions

How you style it at home, how often you wash, what grew out badly last time. That short chat decides most of the cut.

Wash and cut

A proper shampoo, then the work itself. Clippers set the shape, scissors blend it, and we check both sides under daylight.

Details and finish

Neck, ears and brows get cleaned up with a razor. Hot towel on the neck, a splash of tonic, done.

Tell us what to fix

Before you pay, take a look in the hand mirror. If something sits wrong, we sort it there and then. No charge, no sighing.

Next visit planned

We note how long your last cut stayed sharp and suggest when to come back. Most clients land on four to five weeks.

What regulars say when we are not listening

Mikko Laine

I moved to Vantaa two years ago and still drive here for a cut. That says more than I can write in a review.

Janne Korhonen

Booked the hot towel shave before my wedding. Skin was calm for days and the beard line was sharper than anything I could do at home.

Petri Nieminen

Walked in on a Friday with no booking. They told me twenty minutes, it was nineteen, and the cut was exactly what I asked for.

Questions

Things people ask us on the phone

If your question is not here, call us during opening hours or send a message through the contact page.

Get in touch

Do I need to book in advance?

Not necessarily. Weekday mornings are usually quiet and you can walk straight in. Thursday evening and Saturday morning fill up first, so book those if you have a fixed time in mind.

How long does a haircut take?

Budget forty five minutes for the Signature Men's Haircut. That covers the consultation, a wash and the finishing work. We do not rush the last ten minutes, that is where the cut actually looks good.

Can you shave a beard off completely?

Yes, and it is one of the most relaxing things on the menu. If you are unsure whether to keep the beard, ask for a sculpt first and we can take it shorter step by step.

My skin gets irritated after shaving. Will a straight razor make it worse?

Usually the opposite. A single blade with hot towels and proper lather is gentler than dragging a cartridge over the same spot six times. Tell us about your skin before we start and we adjust the products.

Do you cut children's hair?

We take boys from around six years old, when they can sit still for most of the appointment. Bring them in and we will take it slowly.
