Who we are
Blanelo is a barbershop operating at Karakaari 7, 02610 Espoo, Finland. We are the data controller for the personal information you give us when you book a haircut, order a hot towel shave, or contact us by phone or email.

What data we collect
We only collect what we need to run the shop properly. That usually means:
- Your name, so we know whose appointment it is.
- A phone number or email address, so we can confirm, move or cancel a booking.
- Notes you give us about your hair, beard or scalp, such as allergies or preferred clipper lengths.
- Basic technical data from this website, such as the browser type, for security and statistics.
We do not collect payment card numbers in our booking system. Card payments are handled by the terminal in the shop.
Why we use your data
We use your details to confirm appointments, keep a short record of the cuts and shaves you have had, and get in touch if a barber has to reschedule. We also use aggregated website statistics to understand which services people look at most.
We never sell your data, and we do not add you to any marketing list unless you clearly ask us to.
How long we keep it
Appointment records are kept for up to 24 months from your last visit. After that they are deleted. Contact messages that do not lead to a booking are removed within 90 days. Website log files are held for 12 months and then erased.
Your rights under GDPR
As a client in Finland you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- The right to see the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- The right to have your data deleted, unless we are legally required to keep it.
- The right to restrict how we use your data or to object to a specific use.
- The right to receive your data in a portable format.
Send any request to blanelo@hotmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you believe we have handled your data badly, you can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman.
Sharing and security
We share data only with the booking software and email provider that keep the shop running. Both are bound by written agreements. Access inside the shop is limited to the barbers who need it. We store records on password-protected devices and back them up over encrypted connections.
If we ever change this policy, the updated version will appear on this page with a new revision date.
